WHAT TO CONSIGN
- Quality clothing that is clean, stylish, and in very good condition. Sizes, quantities, and other items will be accepted as follows:
þ Boys’ sizes Infant – 20
þ Girls’ sizes Infant – Juniors
- Toys in working order with batteries
- Books, Videos, DVDs, Games (board or electronic)
- Equipment (cribs, changing tables, high chairs, car seats, pack-n-plays....)
- Crib Bedding and accessories
- Shoes in very good condition and limited to the best 5 pairs per sex per consignor
- Maternity clothing
WE CANNOT ACCEPT
þ Items with stains, holes, missing or broken parts
þ Out-of-date clothing – it will not sell
þ Stuffed animals
þ Toys without working batteries
HOW TO CONSIGN
- First, you will need to contact us for a consignor number. If you are sentimentally attached to a particular number, we will gladly let you use it if it’s available.
- Next, gather up your wire hangers, 1” or larger safety pins and 3x5 index cards and start pricing! Tagging specifics include:
o Use only 3x5 index cards clearly marked with your consignor number, item size and gender, item description, and price
o Use only wire hangers. . .plastic department-store children’s hangers (not the round tubular ones) are acceptable for smaller items to improve presentation
o Use 1-inch or larger safety pins (no straight pins)
o Price in whole dollar amounts only
o Use number sizes only (S, M, L are OK for maternity only)
o Pin sets together with pants or skirts behind the top
o Secure multi-item lots by taping the hangers together at the neck
o Securely tape all tags onto non-clothing items with packing tape
o Put small pieces and parts in zip lock bags taped shut
o Items requiring batteries must have them included
o Attach shoes together with ribbon or cable ties with your tag secured with a safety pin and packing tape
o For multi-book/video items, tie them together with ribbon or twine in both directions like a present. Please do not put them in Ziploc bags.
o On higher-dollar items, include the original or current retail price if you know it – let people know what a great deal you’re offering!
o For your protection - do not make corrections on tags. If changes are needed, make a new tag
- Group your clothes by sex and bring them to Drop-Off in ascending size order. If convenient, separate out swimwear, cover-ups, dancewear, and dress-up items – those will have their own special area at the sale.
- Bring a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Drop-Off. Put your consignor number in the lower right-hand corner.
- All items will be reviewed at drop-off, and we reserve the right to decline or pull from the sales floor any item(s) not meeting our quality standards.
- Items not picked up by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday will be donated to the charity/charities of the owners’ choice.
- A $10 Rack-Your-Own participation fee is required from all consignors and will be deducted from your earnings proceeds. We are also happy to provide full Drop-n-Go service with a $12 participation fee.
- Consignors will receive 70% of their sales less the participation fee.
- Proceeds checks will be mailed within 10 days of the end of the sale. . .please don’t forget your stamped envelope!
